Background:           

Previous preventive conservation forums have focused on applied conservation sciences, the latest techniques in preventive conservation and creating alliances. Expanding on this legacy, there will be over 30 speakers, addressing the worldwide issues and solutions to conservation in tropical countries.

Forum program:        

3.5 days of presentations, discussion tables, focus groups and workshop results, starting Monday morning and ending Thursday afternoon. Opening reception, poster presentations, opportunities for networking, tours to important sites.  There will be 34 speakers – 19 invited international and national experts and 15 additional speakers, selected on the basis of abstracts submitted to the Foundation.

Participants:              

200 international and national professionals and students in the fields of art, architecture, archives, and patrimonial collections
